Although I am originally from the Bronx(NYC), I have lived in Henrietta for 30 years and this is home. I have three children; two boys ages 19 & 27 and a girl age 23. We have two grandsons ages 8 and 2. There is also the cat, Nala who turned 12 on October 5th. My DH is originally from NYC too and although during part of our childhood we lived 5 city blocks from each other we met in Rochester, NY when we were in our early thirties. We are always amazed by how different we are from each other and yet how much we love each other. We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2009. I'm a Professor at a local university and spend my time outside of work with my family, church, and cross stitching. I am also working with a personal trainer to lose weight and improve my fitness. I am no longer a member of the local school board giving me time to focus on making some changes to our home. I started with a local account on the BB as sph but after a year changed to a global account on 7/1/2002 and had to change my BB name also.

I love to cross stitch, sew and read ( mysteries, fantasy,historical fiction). I love to listen to music and watch movies especially older ones. I like classical music, romatic ballad singers like Johnny Mathis, Nat King Cole, and Bing Crosby and more modern instrumental music like Yanni and YoYoMa. My movie tastes are varied ranging from old Cary Grant movies to Indiana Jones to Lord of the Rings. I also like to dance especially with my DH. I prefer the latin dances since it is what I grew up with but like disco type dancing too.
